Carmen
Office ManagerCarmen grew up in south Texas and moved to Austin in 1995 when she started working in various areas within the dental field. She has been working with Oak Hill Family Dental since 2000 she’s the lady behind the wall. During much of this time she has focused on billing, interacting with insurance claims and over sees all the behind-the-scenes office stuff. As someone who understands what a headache it can be to deal with insurance companies Carmen works hard to assist patients, help relieve additional stress, and make sure claims are handled appropriately. She is happy to help with any questions patients may have regarding their accounts.
When she is not at work Carmen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, fishing, looking for seashells and relaxing at home.
Isabel
Registered Dental HygienistOriginally from San Antonio, Isabel recently made the move to Austin and is excited to explore everything the city has to offer. Especially when it comes to discovering new restaurants, coffee shops, and hidden gems.
A graduate of Coastal Bend College's Dental Hygiene program, Isabel also earned her bachelor's degree through dual enrollment with Texas Woman’s University. She's passionate about oral health and dedicated to providing top-tier care to her patients. Isabel loves connecting with people and is always seeking ways to grow in her field. With plans to pursue a master’s degree, she's committed to advancing her career and expanding her impact in the dental community.
Outside of work, Isabel enjoys playing sand volleyball, baking, cooking, and exploring Austin’s coffee scene. She brings the same warmth, energy, and curiosity to her personal interests as she does to her professional life.
Janette
Front Desk CoordinatorJanette is an Austin native and has been working in the dental field for 40 years. Her experience includes working both as a Registered Dental Assistant and as a dental claim’s processor for a dental insurance company. She has worked for Oak Hill Family Dental as the front desk coordinator since 2002 and looks forward to seeing the patients' smiling faces for many more years to come.
Janette feels fortunate to be married to her best friend, Kirk. Together they have been blessed with a son, Bailey, who never fails to keep their life fun and interesting. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, friends and her favorite shadow, her dog Archer.
Luz
Dental AssistantLuz grew up in Austin, Texas, and has been working in the dental field for over three years. She joined Oak Hill Family Dental with a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to patient care. As a Registered Lead Dental Assistant, she supports both the clinical team and patients through every step of their visit — from preparing treatment rooms to assisting during procedures and making sure patients feel at ease.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Luz connects easily with patients from diverse backgrounds. She genuinely enjoys helping people and always encourages patients to ask questions — her goal is to ensure everyone feels informed, supported, and comfortable throughout their experience.
Outside of work, Luz stays active and involved in her community. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with her family, and recharging through activities like traveling, camping, running, hiking, and boxing — her favorite sport. She’s also a big fan of snacks and believes a good snack break can turn any day around.
